  • Embedded Vision

    MVTec Software GmbH

In the industrial environment, especially in digitalized, automated production scenarios, more and more so-called embedded systems are being used. Embedded devices are small, with compact dimensions, highly efficient, and generate little waste heat. Therefore, they are also suitable for limited space conditions. Due to often harsh environmental conditions, they must be particularly robust and resistant to external influences like  massive dust accumulation, strong vibrations, and high humidity or even direct contact with water. Typically, embedded devices are handhelds, smartphones, tablets, vision sensors, smart cameras, smart sensors and single board computers. If the systems have integrated machine vision software, they can be used for a wide range of image processing applications. This is known as embedded vision.

  • Rugged IP67-rated Fanless Edge System With NVIDIA® Jetson™ TX2, HDMI, GbE LAN, 1-CH PoE, USB 2.0 And 100 To 240 VAC Power Input

    eBOX800-900-FL - Axiomtek Co., Ltd.

The Artificial Intelligence (AI) embedded system, eBOX800-900-FL, adopts a full IP67-rated extruded aluminum and heavy-duty steel case for dust protection and water resistance. Moreover, the AI embedded system comes with a wide operating temperature range of -30°C to 60°C (-22°F to +140°F) and a vibration endurance for up to 3Grms. The embedded system is powered by the NVIDIA Jetson™ TX2 module which has a powerful 64-bit ARM A57 processor and 256-core NVIDIA® Pascal GPU. It features M12 type I/O connectors and four N-jack waterproof antenna openings for operational stability in rugged environments. The eBOX800-900-FL is ideal for AI edge computing and deep learning applications, such as smart city, smart manufacturing, smart transportation, and much more. The eBOX800-900-FL has 8GB of LPDDR4 memory and 32GB eMMC onboard. It comes with a wide range of 100 to 240 VAC power input with 10kV surge protection. The rugged edge computer also features one M.2 SSD PCIe 2.0 x4 socket which supports high-performance NVM Express interface for extensive storage needs. Furthermore, the embedded box PC is equipped with a PoE port to support the applications that require the use of IP cameras or any PoE device, i.e., traffic flow monitoring, license plate recognition, vehicle recognition, machine vision.

  • Infrared Array Sensor

Grid-EYE Evaluation Kit - Panasonic Automotive & Industrial Systems Europe GmbH

Panasonic Automotive & Industrial Systems has launched this evaluation kit for its Grid-Eye infrared array sensor, which integrates a ”nanopower” Bluetooth Smart module and a microcontroller. The kit is intended for prototyping the Grid-EYE sensor which is a 64 pixel IR camera in a surface mount package measuring 11.6mm x 8mm x 4.3mm, which integrates the MEMS sensor, lens and I2C interface. The integrated Bluetooth module in the evaluation kit, the PAN1740, draws 4.9mA in transmit or receive operating modes, which means it can be powered by coin cell batteries. The IR sensor has 64 thermopile elements in an 8×8 grid format that detect absolute surface temperature without any contact.

  • Vision Systems

    ADLINK Technology Inc.

Embedded vision systems, also referred to as compact vision systems, offer an alternative to Smart cameras and computer-based systems. The ADLINK EOS series is a complete embedded system that offers image acquisition, processing, archiving, and display capabilities. It is equipped with a multi-core CPU, ideal for applications requiring high computing power and multi-camera imaging, such as 3D vision and robotics guidance. Featuring rich I/O connectivity with factory-floor networks, including RS-232/422/485, USB, and isolated digital I/O, as well as onboard storage, ADLINK’s embedded vision system is ready to deploy. A system monitoring feature, feeding back temperature and voltage data, combines with a watchdog timer to maximize robustness and reliability of the ADLINK EOS series in mission critical applications.
